Cleve Archers Indoor Handicap League in 2025/26 has started. The live rankings are below as well as the rules of the league.

What are handicaps?
At its most simple, a handicap can be viewed as a measure of precision (i.e. group size). The smaller the handicap, the smaller the group and the better the score. For more information, please have a look at the Archery Handicaps and Classifications page.
So how does a handicap league work?
Initially you need to shoot 3 rounds to get a starting handicap, if you submitted scores in the 2024/25 league these will carry over to 2025/26.
When you then shoot a round for the league we will compare the handicap for that round against your current handicap. The better you shoot compared to your average the more points you will get for the league.
After each round your handicap is recalculated so you need to keep improving to get high scores.
How many rounds do I need to shoot?
You will need to shoot three rounds to get an initial handicap, these are separate for indoors and outdoors so you will need to shoot 3 rounds outdoors even if you already had indoor scores.
The league will then be your best three handicap improvements.
What rounds can I shoot?
For the Indoor League you can shoot any of the indoor rounds. These can be shot at any Archery GB club including at a tournament. Please check the rules for the round your are shooting so that you are at the correct distance on the correct size target.
How do I enter?
To enter the league you can either;
- Submit your scores directly to Golden Records, archery-records.net (if you need an account please talk to the Club Secretary).
- Submit a paper score sheet to the Club Records Officer, there is a post box in the range to submit paper score sheets.
What awards will be available?
The winners of the league will be the archers who show the most improvement so it doesn’t matter what your scores are.
